When told that Mesa senator Russell Pearce was confident he could win her support for the Republican budget proposal, Scottsdale senator (and budget holdout) Carolyn Allen had this to say:“I don’t know what they’re smoking,” Allen said Tuesday. “But if it’s marijuana, we ought to be taxing it.”Senator Allen has said the budget cuts too much from education and reduces taxes to the point that we will be in a bigger budget crisis next year.
