The National Education Association just awarded Dr Linda Darling-Hammond with our 2009 Friend of Education Award.She gave a very motivational speech asking us all to fight to protect the fundamental right for students to learn.
I will post a link to her speech (and hopefully a video) when it becomes available.
AEA member Dr Janie Hydrick nominated Dr Darling-Hammond. Janie serves as one of Arizona's two NEA state directors.
